Enthusiasm has died?

Eh.... Why nobody post one? Wah Lau, I thought that we are suppose to blog something at least once a week? So fast not enthu anymore?

Anyway, I saw the New Paper article on this ChinYong durian seller, seems like many people are pissed at them. I dun think its the price but how they do their business, "forcing" people to buy by opening the durians... We learn a lesson anyway.

So I am serving the last 2 weeks of notice and will have a break of 4 weeks before commencing on the new job... so guys abt the Ubin trip... how? I dun mind organising but need to know which days are good for all of us. Sometime mid June? Please reply with your preferences.

Update: Heroes season 1 has ended... great show, cannot wait for the 2nd season.
Watching Bleach anime... another good anime, can compare to Naruto.
Prison Break season 3 is out... but still catching up on season 2.

Dragonfly ---::

The Jan babies was out exploring St James (how aptly named!) Power station last night. Dragon fly to be exact. The 3 blind mice have no idea where dragonfly is, but it was a pleasantly crowded on a tues night. no sweaty bodies, just lotsa old uncles. hehe..

it was red cross benefit night and the 3 blindies found a spot worthy of our stature... in front of the VVIP table. seeing us jive (or jigger our jiggly) is none other than the revered Gen winston chu. hehe... ok. so dennis foo was there as well since he is the boss off the club.

apart from a ghostly skinny woman decked out in black, sauntering in front of us the entire night, and keep knocking into james' knee... (james exclaim: 撞我不用尽。在我面前走来走去, 不用尽。but... 她 buay chio!!!) there was feather boas.. hehe..

the performance notably with the 2 chio bu dancers and 1 muscled hunk and 1 beng with blond hair was hilarious.

who knew .... who could have thought of this incredible combination of club and getai. seriously. dun need to wait for 七月 for performance, just go dragonfly lor!

anyhow the retro music was way fun.. it was the 90s music which was fun! 3 of us were singing/screaming along to the music. whha...

Food Trail on Labour Day!!!

Hi bloggers!!
Here's the posting we've been waiting for!!

Our Labour Day food trail!!

It was a long, tiring but fun day. This was where it all began. Killiney KopiTiam! I was still half asleep when i got there..

And after a brief morning interlude, waiting for Ah Lim to get the van, it was non stop action!! Next stop was Bak Kut Teh at Rochor road.. Great soup, not as pepperish as i thought it would be. We also found out who could clean up a bak kut better than the rest! Ha! Oh by the way NBH came on board at this point. She quite gladly finished off everything..

Next stop was Bedok central for Chwee Quey. Very Q and the cai po was delicious!! Unknown to the rest of you, i actually had a nice chat with the Uncle at "Hollywood" while i was waiting for the chendol. Ha!

Afterwards was straight to the far east at Changi Village where we had to queue for what seemed like ages for the nasi lemak.. Look at our faces when we finally got to the finishing line. Ha!

We gladly took the 2 packets of nasi lemak and sat down by the steps to enjoy it.

I guess our stomachs couldn't take it anymore and we took a break in the afternoon to sing our hearts out. Photos will kindly be provided by my fellow Jan baby, Yileen. Look out for it!

So.. Eating resumes in the evening where we headed off to geylang for beef hor fan and tian ji congee. It was quite good actually. i think all the singing worked up an appetite..

How can we leave Geylang without going to the all time fave Yong He Tou Jiang? Right?
And that is where the name of this blog is born... All thanks to the ah lian who didn't want her boyfriend to send her home... Ha!

After that was our story of the night. D24 Durian Wang! The truth surfaces.. The ugly side of mankind prevails.... Anyway, to check out more details, go look at Leen's posting about STOMP. :)

Well, to end off a great day, it was one of my personal favourites.. Mee Hoon Kuey! It was with a different twist though as it was the dry version. Very nicely done and i was very pleasently surprised how tasty it was.

So... That was a brief round up of our exciting day. Looking forward to more of such trips. We can do our own version of Makan Places: Lost and Found! Only if we had Michelle Chia in the team though.. Ha!
